Every single notebook or desktop or server is run by an Operating System - the low-level software which interacts with the hardware, including peripherals such as a mouse and a printer, as well as any applications that are present on your system. Any program input through a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is processed by sending an Application Program Interface (API) request to the Operating System. On a web server, each and every app runs within the parameters specified by the OS as well - priority, physical memory, processing time, and so on. This goes for both standard site scripts and server-side software such as a media server. In case a virtual server is set up on a physical one, there can be two different Operating Systems, called guest OS and host OS, so that you will be able to set up a different software environment on the same machine.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers

Our VPS server packages include three Linux releases which you may choose from for the Operating System of your new hosting server - Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS. Apart from being cost-free, the OSs are extremely stable and safe and the main reason to offer you the 3 of them is to ensure that you can run any app that you would like, since different pieces of software have different requirements in terms of the environment they work on. Each of the three OSs is supported by a large community of developers who have made a large number of software packages which you can install and use on your VPS. Depending on the Operating System that you select, you will also be able to select between 3 different Control Panels to handle your website hosting content. Needless to say, if you decide that you need some other OS, we could always re-install the server with it. As an additional upgrade, we also offer you weekly updates of the Operating System for optimum stability and security.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers

The dedicated servers that we offer can be installed with three different Operating Systems because we want to give you more flexible packages that will enable you to install and run any type of web software regardless of its system requirements. The options are CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu and these three OSs are some of the most dependable and secure ones, not mentioning that they don't have any license fees. All three have numerous developers who have created a huge number of software packages that you can install and use on your server. We also offer three hosting Control Panels and which one you can use will depend on the Operating System that you choose when you sign up. If you need some other OS later on, it will not be a problem as we can always reinstall your server. With our Managed Services package we can also keep your OS secure by updating it every week with all patches that are available for it.
